Business as usual for Lockdown 2.0
Fortunately, the property market has escaped any restrictions following the announcement of the November lockdown.
Housing Secretary, Robert Jenrick, has confirmed that house moves can continue when Thursday’s second national lockdown begins.
Full details are to be revealed later this week, the Housing Secretary made it clear that “the housing market will remain open throughout this period. Everyone should continue to play their part in reducing the spread of the virus by following the current guidance” adding “They will need to follow social distancing guidance that has already been published.”
There was also confirmation from some of the large surveyor firms today that they have been told they can continue to operate which was one of the biggest sticking points in the first lockdown.
